David's obituary
David Michael Casados was born September 11, 1952 in Denver, Colorado to Dave and Ruby Casados. He was the younger brother to Jerry and Jo Ann, and the older brother to Richard. He is preceded in death by his mom and dad (Dave and Ruby Casados), his sister (Jo Ann Sandoval), his brother (Richard Casados) and his daughter (Nicole Casados.)
The Casados' children were raised Catholic and attended Sacred Heart Grade School and Cathedral High School. David grew up in northeast Denver in Curtis Park. They lived in a small 2-bedroom duplex on 29th and Champa St across the street from Curtis Park and next to the Curtis Park Creamery.
As a child David was very mischievous. He seemed to always get called to the office. He had an outgoing personality, making many friends in the neighborhood and school. He played the organ in high school, and with a few of his buddies they formed a band. The band played a few gigs here and there but never made it to the big time, as was one of his many dreams.
As life continued and he tried to find his way in the world he met Roberta, they dated for a while and eventually married in 1979. After having their first two daughters Nicole and Shawna, they relocated to Utah, to try to make the best life for their family. Eventually they settled in Salt Lake City, Utah and welcomed their last daughter Jackie.
Over the years David worked for different fence companies until he decided to make the leap and start his own fence company in 2002 with a colleague, Wasatch Front Fence. It was David’s pride and joy for many years.
In 2004, David and Roberta also got the chance to raise their granddaughter Kennedy and around this time David began settling into his tinkering stage.
He loved to be busy. David was a huge Denver Broncos fan, he was a huge sports fan in general from baseball, basketball and even golf, if it was on, he was watching it. He loved to collect anything and everything. He loved toting his daughters to thrift shops to buy old stamps, records, figurines, sports memorabilia, old books, really anything.
David was a simple man, living for oldies music, a good cigar and someone to chat with about all his adventures in this life. He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
From the ones who knew and loved him, we know you are finally free.
