David passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20, 2024. He was the best husband, son, father, and grandfather anyone could ever ask for. We will miss him so very much and are extremely grateful for every single day we had with him. 

David was born in Atlanta, Ga on December 24, 1961, and was the son of Ed and Gloria Carter. 

David had a fulfilling career where he worked in many different professions such as a police officer, a restaurant owner, bus driver, and construction worker. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and spending time with his family.

David is survived by his wife Diane; his children David Jr., Deanna, Danielle, Michelle, Michael, DJ, Crystal, Amanda and Tamika; mother Gloria; brother Tim; and grandchildren Ariana, Jace, Evelyn, Enzo, Owen, Jayden, Jaylinn, Cinco, Bianca, and Caleb. 

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. More details to soon follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to assist help with funeral expenses, travel expenses and medical bills.
