David's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David A. Butcher, Sr, of Conroe, Texas, who left us on January 29, 2026 after a brief battle with Stage 4 Pacreatic Cancer. David was born on February 27, 1961, and throughout his 64 years of life, he brought love, laughter, and kindness to all those he encountered. David was a man whose personality charmed everyone around him; he was a comical goofball, always ready with a joke to lighten the situation. Yet, he was also helpful, consistently lending a hand whenever anyone needed it. His loving and gentle nature made him a joy to be around, his warm energy radiating towards all those fortunate enough to be in his presence. A loving family man, he is survived by his son, David Butcher Jr, and his daughter-in-law, Brittany Butcher of French Village, MO. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Gayle Butcher Patten, and his nephews, Marshall and Casey Patten of Lebanon, OR. David was predeceased by his adoptive parents Jack and Zelma Butcher of Redding, CA. Among the most valuable lessons David imparted was that it's never too late to change your path in life. He was a shining exemplification of this wisdom, always striving for personal growth and encouraging others to do the same. His legacy is one of kindness and generosity. David's big heart and selfless nature touched the lives of countless individuals. His memory will serve as a beacon of goodwill, reminding us to treat each other with kindness and compassion, as he so frequently did. We will forever cherish the time we had with David and hold his memory dear in our hearts. His laughter, kindness, and wisdom have left a deep imprint on our lives, his legacy living on in the hearts of those he touched.
