David's obituary

>David was born on January 19, 1938 to F Merle and Katie Dye in Salisbury, NC. After graduating from Ben Lippen high school, he went on to study engineering at John Brown University. After graduation, He felt called to the mission field and after marrying Grace McIntosh, they became missionaries to the eskimos in Canada. When they completed that assignment, they moved back to Charlotte, NC where he began his career at IBM where he worked until retirement. He loved Jesus, and never hesitated to share the gospel with all he could. He loved to play golf and watch  Tar Heels basketball and NY Yankees baseball games. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He was always proud of all his family and  loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He spent the last several months of his life being cared for by his loving daughter Ginnie and her husband, Rick. He was ready to go home to be with his savior and on  August 29th with his sweet Beverly by his side, he left this world for his heavenly home.

He is survived by His wife, Beverly, their children,  Lynne Stinson (Don), Ben Dye, Ken Rehme (Bethany), Ginnie Postlethwaite (Rick), Heather Everette (Eric Souders) and Kathy Canestrini (Bonny Cawley), Grandchildren Elise Bautista, Crysta Cardoza (Joe Polnisch), Brandon Stinson, Richard Postlethwaite (Rebecca), Ryan Postlethwaite (Gabrielle), and Quinn Everette, plus great-grandchildren Christian, Alexis, Benjamin, Richard, Ryan, Cody, Isabella, JR, Kalani, Kalia, Felicity, Koa, Lera and Kaimana. There will be a memorial service at Hickory Grove Baptist church North campus at 13200 Mallard Creek Rd Charlotte, NC 28262 on September 20, 2025. Visitation will begin at 1 PM and the service will be at 2 PM. All who knew and loved him are welcome to share in a celebration of his life.  Much of The family and friends are wearing Carolina Tarheels colors (Carolina blue) to the service because David was their biggest fan.
