You are missed every day and I drink from one of the coffee cups you gave me to remind me of the wonderful dry humor you had.   With love to your family....Barbara Dominey
Missing David so much as think back on this day a year ago when he passed to heaven.  I will be attending a Survivors event at West Point 11/10-11. It will be a wonderful way to reflect back on his life as well as to be with others who have lost their loved ones who served our country.

David and I grew up together as neighbors in Wisconsin. My father was a farmer and David's family rented a house that was on part of Dad's property. David's family moved there when he was about 10 years old. We were friends during elementary and high school, and he also helped my Dad out with farm work on occasion. David also had to watch his 8 siblings while his parents were working. He loved to read and his teachers adored him. His family didn't have money to send David to college, so our high school guidance counselor spoke to him about the military academies. His first choice was Air Force, but that spot was taken, so he was selected for the Army academy at West Point. David came home his junior year for a break, and he no longer looked like the farm boy I grew up with. He had his white uniform on, and when he asked me out, this time I agreed. We were "pinned" by the end of that summer, engaged at Christmas, and married a year later one week after he graduated from West Point. We celebrated our 55th anniversary this past June 14. Not only have I lost my husband, but my best friend.

I worked with David as our RSO at GNI. What a truly amazing man he was. He would always know when I  needed a good laugh. We will miss him more than words can express.

We were members of Middleton Baptist Church. Kathy led my oldest daughter to the Lord in 1974. We are so sorry for your loss and are praying for you and your family 🙏💙

Ron and June Curtis

I spent the last day of David's life with him . He held my hand all night and peacefully went to be with the Lord. We were best friends since age 10. So thankful I got to spend my life with him.
