David's obituary
David Alan Hanson, 56, passed away on October 25, 2024, in Bakersfield, CA. Born on December 28, 1967, David grew up in the local area, attending Pioneer Drive elementary school and Foothill High School. He was well-known for his charismatic personality, always being the life of the party and the center of attention. David was not only friendly and kind but also exceptionally giving to everyone around him.
David embarked on his career journey at the young age of 16, starting in the fast-food industry where he went on to manage numerous McDonald's and Carl's Jr. locations. He later ventured into the cell phone business during the 2000s. His most recent role was with Kern County at the airport in building services.
Beyond his career, David loved music and enjoyed traveling throughout California, especially to the beach, San Francisco and Palm Springs. David also enjoyed watching movies and going to concerts.
David's family was central to his life. He is survived by his sister, Jennifer and her husband, Lance; his niece Delaney, his niece, Katy and her family; his stepsisters, Jana and Renita and their families; and many friends whom he considered family. He was preceded in death by his half-sister Stacy, maternal grandparents Arthur and Opal, his mother Genny, half-sister Dana, brother Chuck, and step-father Lyn.
At this time, there are no services scheduled. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date, where friends and family can gather to honor David's memory and his vibrant spirit.
