Dave ‘ERBY’ Erbstoesser of Saint Francis, Minnesota, passed away suddenly on Monday, January 8th, 2024, at the young age of 64.
He left behind his wife; Loni (Fuchs) Erbstoesser; his children, Anthony & Sara Mix, Cassandra & Jamarii Tucker; grandchildren, Paige, Audri, Sydni, Kendrick, & Harper; father-in-law, Jack Fuchs (Heidi); brothers-in-law, Edward Fox (Kelly), Scott Fuchs (Wendy); many nieces and nephews. Dave has gone to join his parents, Elroy & Patricia; Sisters, Diane, Karen, & Brenda; mother-in-law, Lois; friends Kit, Joey, Tim, & Todd.
Dave was born in Braham, Minnesota on May 19th, 1959, to Elroy & Patricia (Hawkins) Erbstoesser. He graduated from Braham Sr. High School in 1978. Dave began his career in commercial and residential roofing, elevating to crane and heavy equipment operator which he found a passion for and remained for many years. The last few years of Dave’s life were spent working with his long-time friend and colleague Jim Jackson of Jackson & Associates.
Erby was an incredible baseball player throughout grade school, so much so, that he was offered a college scholarship that he declined so he could begin his career. He spent many years playing in various bowling leagues and softball teams. As a dog lover there was nothing Dave wouldn’t do for his beloved pups, Duke, Zoey, and Benelli. Much of Erby’s spare time was dedicated to traveling, golfing, hunting both deer and waterfowl, camping, snowmobiling, and four-wheeling.
In the fall of 1995, Dave and Loni met during a night out. The two quickly grew to be best friends and confidants. Loni’s hand was taken in marriage on September 22nd, 2012. He was a devoted HUSBAND, DAD, GRANDPA/PAPA, SON, BROTHER, UNCLE and FRIEND who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
