DAVALYN's obituary

It is with the deepest regret that we announce the passing of Davalyn Lasater. Born on April 22, 1957, Davalyn walked into eternity on November 26, 2025. A beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, her love, wisdom, and warmth will be missed by all who knew her.

Davalyn is survived by her two devoted children, Cori Franks and Christopher Scarberry. Her love for them was infinite and was only surpassed by the love she held for her grandchildren, Jacob Franks, Cadiem Charlebois, Lillian Franks, Jack Scarberry, Ciara McClendon, and Rodney McClendon as well as her two great-grandchildren, Cecily Charlebois and McKenna Franks who brought her immeasurable joy in her later years. She is also survived by her brother, Kenneth Lasater, with whom she shared many cherished childhood memories.

She was predeceased by her devoted parents, Evelyn (O'Shea)and John Lasater, whom she categorized as her pillars of strength and wisdom. Davalyn was also predeceased by her brother, James Lasater, whose memories remained close to her heart.

In a life beautifully lived, Davalyn touched the lives of many. Her spirit, resilience, and unwavering faith were an inspiration to all who were privileged to know her. We mourn her passing deeply but find comfort in the knowledge that her life was filled with love and happiness, and her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those she left behind.
