On a Sat. night, we brought Darrin to his 1st stock car race--he was about 9 yrs. old. I will never forget that with all of the noise brought on by these activities, Darrin fell sound to sleep & had to be carried to the car. I never understood how he could have been so asleep with all the noise & activity at the time. Darrin, you were the consummate husband, father, drummer & all-around good person. Love always, Auntie.
Darrin happily filled in for this show and it will forever be his final curtain! He will be missed by his Chemistry family and fans. The music lives on with Jeff, Ronnie, Mike and John but will always be part of Darrin's legacy.
My heart goes out to Darrin’s family. He made me laugh a lot in high school band and choir. Such a good person and so talented. I’m sure he’s having one major jam session in Heaven.
To the Thorpe family ..... Hard to believe Darrin is gone. I have such fond memories of times together enjoying his music. May you find comfort with his passing knowing he is living his forever life now. Keep the belief that you WILL all be together again.
My heart and prayers go out to the Thorpe family. I only knew Darrin a short time but i got to know a very talented and fun filled person. He was one of a kind. He will be greatly missed.
