Background
My name is Kristen Nicole Sheppard, and I am raising funds to help cover the cremation expenses for my father, Darren J. Lee, who passed away on March 18, 2026.
Over the past months, my life has completely changed as I became my dad’s full-time caregiver. I brought him from South Carolina to New Mexico so I could personally take care of him, while also raising my child and managing everything on my own. It was not easy, but I would do it all over again just to make sure he was not alone.
My dad was a strong man who meant so much to me and being there for him in his final days is something I will always carry with me. Losing him has been incredibly difficult, both emotionally and financially.
I am currently trying to cover the cost of his cremation, which is $1,232. Any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and would go directly toward giving my dad a respectful and dignified farewell.
