Darren's obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Darren Howard "Shaheed" Johnson who left us on September 22, 2024. Born on April 16, 1966, Darren lived a full and vibrant life. Many knew him lovingly as Shaheed; however, he preferred Darren.

Darren leaves behind a large and loving family who cherished him and his zest for life. He has departed this life, but his memory will live on in the thoughts and hearts of his family. Darren is survived by his mother, Patricia Howard, and his siblings, sister, Sherri Johnson, sister, Kimberly Jefferson (Kenny), and brother, Joshua Johnson (Gaylin). A host of Aunts & Uncles.

Preceded in death by his father Joshua Johnson Jr.

His legacy will also continue through his children, daughters Toni Tiera Barton, Daria Johnson, Michelle Carr, and sons Darrell Johnson (Ashley) and Darren Johnson (Paige). 9 Grandchildren he leaves behind are Darren H. Johnson 3rd, Dariaun Lovelle, Camilla Rose, Santiago Charles, Mekhi Anthony, Melody Sarai, Mahogany Latrise, Daryann Roseanna, and Drayko Yosohn.  Each of them carries a part of Darren with them and through them, his spirit remains a part of this world.

Though it pains us to say goodbye, we take heart in knowing that Darren lived a full life, touched countless lives, and leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth. His memory is a comfort that will accompany us every day. Please join us in celebrating Darren's life as we mourn his departure.
