It is with great sadness that the family of Darlene Morcos announces her sudden passing on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 in Santa Monica. Darlene will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years and 13 days, Atalla Morcos, and their daughters Paula Morcos, Danielle Randall, Hadiya (Michael) Cognata, Trisha (Moe) Witwit, and her sister Diane Schermerhorn. Darlene’s grandchildren, Brianna, Dominic, Sophia, Grace, Preston, Justin, Piper, and Mia, will forever remember their Nonna’s love and generosity. Darlene’s nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends will also now and forever remember her warmth and kindness. Darlene is predeceased by her parents Daniel and Mary Wilson and brother Daniel Wilson.

Darlene grew up in Venice, CA and graduated from Santa Monica High School with the Winter Class of 1960. Raising her family in the San Fernando Valley, she also spent over 35 years working alongside her husband at their Santa Monica business, Westwood Appliance.

Recently retired, Darlene spent more time on her favorites: gardening, traveling around the world, countless Vegas trips, and Bunko. But her true joy and dedication were revealed through her unwavering support and care for her family and those around her. Her spirit, filled with celebration and fun, will be with us, always.

A Memorial for Darlene will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Eudes Catholic Church
