Darlene's obituary

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Darlene E. Harris, 78, of Bellows Falls, VT on July 8, 2025. Darlene passed peacefully surrounded by family at Grace Cottage Hospital. Born on June 8, 1947 in Clinton, MA Darlene was a mother, grandmother and great grandmother always offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. A friend to many, a career LNA much of that spent at Grace Cottage Hospital, 80’s rock lover, traveler, and devout Seventh Day Adventist.

Darlene was predeceased by her parents, Ronald & Mabel Harris; brother, Ronald Harris Jr.; sisters, Annette Harris & Linda Fletcher. She leaves behind her brother Duane Harris of Wasilla, AK; sons, Ronald Fletcher of Bellows Falls, VT, Jon Fletcher of Bristol, TN; daughters; Wendy Bidon of Chandler, AZ, Darla Fletcher of Bellows Falls, VT, Shannon Dunleavy of Jamaica, VT, Brianne Dunleavy of Brattleboro, VT; 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews and her lifelong friend Cindy Martin.

Services will be held on Sunday, July 20th at 1pm at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in West Townshend, VT followed by a potluck lunch to celebrate Darlene. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to her favorite charity Mac’s Mission https://www.macsmission.org/ or the Seventh Day Adventist Church in West Townshend, VT.
