Darlene's obituary
Iola Darlene Balvin, maiden name Tuter, age 76 passed away peacefully and surrounded by family February 23rd 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and unwavering strength. She was born August 31st 1949 in Highlandville Missouri.
Darlene was a devoted wife to Ray Stubbs and a loving mother to her two daughters Angi Williams and Brandi Burton. She was a proud and deeply cherished Mema to Kristin Merckling, Hunter Williams, Kennady Williams and Michael Allen and a treasured Great-Mema to Aydan, Braiden, Amelie, Porter, Layla, Livia and Grayson. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandbabies whom she loved beyond measure.
Known affectionately as Mema, named by her first grandchild, Darlene was truly one of a kind. She had a heart full of love, a wonderful sense of humor, a strength that inspired everyone who knew her and just the right amount of sass. She found joy in life's little pleasures, thrifting teapots, rings and rarely seen without her beloved dog, Allen, by her side.
Darlene will be remembered for her kindness, laughter and the warmth she brought into every room. She was loving, funny and deeply devoted to those she cared for. Her presence was a comfort, her love was constant and her memory will live on through the family that loved her.
She is deeply missed and forever loved.
