Darlene's obituary

Darlene G Krause, 72, was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world May 18, 2022 and is now in God's loving arms.

Darlene was born September 1, 1949 in Wabash Indiana the daughter of Lacy and Martha Whitaker and one of 8 brothers and sisters. She leaves behind two children, Matthew and Ginny and their significant others, and a granddaughter Arielle who she dearly loved, and dozens of loving family members.

Darlene was a successful business owner for many years and always handled her affairs with the utmost professionalism. During retirement she enjoyed shopping, cleaning…yes cleaning, and she lived for those special moments with her family! Helping family was of supreme importance to her. For a time she was instrumental in Helping her children who she worked with to grow to be successful adults and her bond with her granddaughter was special. She was always there for her children and was not only a mother, she was a mentor, spiritual leader, and friend. Even as she battled cancer she still gave selflessly to her community as the President of her HOA. Her neighbors all loved her and are very saddened by the untimely loss. She was a servant of god and that spirit to serve still resides in those close to her.

In her final months she fought hard with the support of her children and especially the love and selfless giving of her sister, Nadine and her Husband Gary Ward. As a family they gave Darlene more love and support than most get in a lifetime!

In her final moments with family near and shortly after a beautiful prayer by the pastor

darlene became the angel in heaven she always was on earth. Those close to her have said they feel her spirit with them to this day.

A Celebration will be schedule for July and date and location will be updated.
