Darla Jeney Hilliard , 58, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on January 8, 2022.

Darla Jeney Hilliard (Jackson) was born on September 16, 1963 to the union of Jimmy Foy Pruiett and Lorna Pruiett in Akron, Ohio, She was raised by her Mother, Lorna, and Step-Father, Raynond E. Nurse, Darla attended Akron Public Schools, graduating from North High School. She attended Kent State University, where she studied Hospitality Management. She worked at Kent State University from 2001 to 2019.

Darla enjoyed playing cards, especially Pitty-Pat, and loved spending time with her family. Anyone who knew Darla knew that she loved to wear and decorate with the color red. She was also an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan!

Darla Hilliard was predeceased by her biological father Jimmy Foy Pruiett and her Step-Father, Raymond E. Nurse; son JaQuare Meshawn Jackson; and brother Darrell Lynn Pruiett . She is survived by Mother Lorna Nurse; son JaVonte (Ebonie) Jackson; brother Tracy (Diana) Pruiett; sister Christina Nurse; seven grandchildren: Amia, D'Allen, Yania, JaQuare Jr., Elias, Ezra and Easton. Special friend, Henry Bryant and
a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends,.
