Darina was my professional role model first before she became my friend.  I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to get to know her and her lovely family. I will miss her, her smile, her passion, her friendship. I will cherish these memories forever.
Darina was a great friend and co-worker at the New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston MA where we first met- I will never forget her smiling face and her laughter, and how she "always made things better".  I miss you terribly Darina- you were a shining light and I will never forget you and your entire family!

I am so saddened to learn of Darina's passing.  I knew her when I worked at San Jose Medical Center and then went on to Regional Medical and Good Samaritan Hospital.  I will miss her smile, quiet demeanor and the friendship.

May her soul Rest in Eternal Peace

Deepest sympathies to Darina's family. We shared a flat during our student days at St Vincent's hospital in Dublin. She went on to achieve great things professionally and personally.  May Darina rest in eternal peace. ❤️

I am so sad to learn of Darina's passing.

Darina was an exceptional colleague, mentor, and friend when we worked together at the Princess Grace Hospital in London. I have been remembering  the fun times that we had back then. Although we hadn't been in contact in recent years,  I thought about Darina every Christmas.... she once gave me 2 little angels, which I still hang on the tree each year.

My sincere condolences to Paul, Maeve, Katrina, and Zeke and Darina's family in Ireland. Go dtuga Dia tacaíocht daoibh go léir i bhur mbrón.

With love,

Maureen (Parsons)

I am very sorry and deeply saddened to hear that DARINA has unfortunately passed away.  I used to be a charge nurse in the ICU  @ the Princess Hospital. Needless to say that Darina had such a charming, compassionate and a friendly nature. Her infectious spontaneous smile could not be missed. I note that she had such an incredible and impressive CV after leaving the PGH. I would like to extend my deepest sympathy and heartfelt 💔 condolences 🙏  to Darina's family and friends at such a difficult time. May  soul rest in eternal peace . WITH DEEPEST REGRET.

I am so very saddened to hear this sad news. I had the great pleasure of working with Darina at the Princess Grace Hospital in London. Darina was always professional with a great sense of humour. It is not a surprise to see how much she achieved and well deserved. A very special lady. My thoughts are with Paul and the family. God bless.

Dear Paul, Maeve, Katrina, and Zeke,

We were so sorry to hear of Darina's passing. The news brought back so many fond memories of our time together at Resurrection. Your family has always held a special place in our hearts. We remember how Darina guided us when Hanh was in the hospital, and how Paul and the group of dads shared great talks during the dot-com layoff.  Maeve and Andy were also in the same class at Resurrection.  I even came across either Katrina or Zeke at Presentation High School.

We were terribly sorry to have missed the memorial service. I had misread the obituary and thought the mass was on Sunday.  Hanh and I were dressed and ready to go when we realized our mistake. We are so sorry we weren't there to offer our support in person.

Please know that Darina and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. If there is anything at all we can do, please don't hesitate to reach out.

With our deepest sympathies,

The Nguyen Family (Duc, Hanh, Andy, and Jolie)

Very sorry heart felt condolences to the family friends and relatives may her soul RIP praying

Paul and family,

I treasure my 20 + year relationship with Darina.  She was such a support since we first met as colleagues at Regional Medical Center. We became good friends who stayed connected during many professional and personal chapters in our lives.  When we last had lunch together earlier this year, she shared her joy of the family Alaska trip and how much she loved her siblings coming out to visit her to “ hang out, have tea and be together” .  She adored her family so much and was so proud of everyone as the individuals they are.

I send you my sincere condolences on this profound loss of Darina  She is a bright star of God a goodness and I am forever grateful for her presence in my life

Darina, my former graduate student was an amazing person, an outstanding nurse and contributor to the profession, and extraordinary member of the Community. A major loss for all of us.

Darina, our queen, thank you for being the inspirational leader that you are! You provided us tremendous opportunities and encouraged our hard work!  We love and will always know and remember all that you taught us.  Your strength as a leader, nurse , mother and family will always be our greatest memory!

You will be missed love all that you inspired at Regional

Love Ginger

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family and loved ones💜

I am thinking of you and your family at this time of grief. I wish you moments of peace and comfort.

Deepest condolences to Paul and family on the loss of Darina. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

You might find this quote from Cardinal Basil Hume comforting (I do ):

Soon after you're dead - we're not sure how long - but not long, you'll be united with the most ecstatic love you've ever known. As one of the best things in your life was human love, this will be love, but much more satisfying, and it will last forever. Why God should want and need us is a mystery.

Deepest sympathies to Paul,Maeve, Katrina, Zeke on the passing of your beautiful wife and mum Darina. To Kate,Mel,Reiltin, Aisling, Ruth,Naomi, Roxanne,John,Kevin, Colm and Owen on the passing of your sister Darina. To all the extended Treacy and Kavanagh families, thinking of you all at this sad time

Dear Paul, Maeve, Katrina and Zeke,

We were heartbroken to hear the passing of beautiful Darina.  She had such a lovely light and warmth about her that we will never forget.  May God's love surround you all during this time of incredible sorrow.

Sending our love and prayers with deepest sympathy,

the Gregovs

Some people come into your life for just a moment, yet make a huge impact.  Darina was such a woman for me.  My deepest condolences to her entire family, who she spoke of so often.  May she rest in eternal peace.
