A Life Well Lived…
On Friday, March 26th, 1976, in Dallas, Texas, a handsome baby boy was born to the late Isaac (Ike) Sieh Forh
originally from Nanakru, Liberia West Africa and the late Charlotte Anne McClellon Forh, originally from Harris, Oklahoma, and they named him Darian Tarplah Forh.
Darian Forh was born in Dallas, Texas, but shortly afterward, his parents moved to his mother’s home state, Oklahoma (OKC). During his early years, Darian attended Villa Teresa Catholic School, where his maternal grandmother, Earnestine McClellon, taught. He later attended severalelementary schools in the Oklahoma City area, including Capitol Hill Elementary and Oakridge Elementary in Del City.
After his mother’s job relocation, Darian’s family settled in Muskogee, Oklahoma, where he mademany friendships during his teenage years. He attended Cherokee Elementary, West Junior High School, and ultimately graduated from Muskogee High School in 1994. Darian had a strong passion for sports, enjoying football, basketball, and especially soccer (futbol). He sharpened his soccer skills by playing for various elite clubs in Oklahoma while excelling on his high school varsity team. Additionally, Darian explored music-making with friends in Muskogee.
After high school, inspired by his father’s athletic legacy, Darian enrolled at Oklahoma City University. There, he earned a degree in Marketing/Advertising while playing for the OCU men’s soccer team, then known as the Chiefs. He loved soccer and achieved his lifelong dream of attending the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
In 2000, Darian moved to Detroit for his job and established a career he enjoyed. In June 2002,while in Detroit, he met the love of his life, Alanna Morgan, affectionately known as “Lana,” and their relationship flourished. Together, they enjoyed road trips, concerts, dining out, and watching documentaries. Darian also had a passion for writing and sports, and he was an avid photographer.
The relationship blossomed, and in October 2005, Darian and Lana were married in Windsor, Ontario. Their union was blessed with two beautiful daughters. First came Layla, filling Darian with the joy of fatherhood and a profound sense of unconditional love. He often referred to her ashis plus-one. Chelsea’s birth doubled the joy of fatherhood and completed their beautiful family.
The family continued to enjoy and embrace travel while living in Detroit, Chicago, New York, NewJersey, Toronto, Atlanta, and Arizona. Darian worked in the advertising industry, and his humorous, friendly, and welcoming demeanorhelped him meet many people and explore different parts of the world. Some of the places he visited include Toronto, Chicago, British Columbia,
South Africa, Turkey, Spain, London, theBahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico, Germany, Colombia, Cuba, and Serbia.
On January 26, 2025, just two months shy of his 49th birthday, Darian passed away peacefully ina hospital in Tucson Arizona, after heart surgery; his wife of nearly 20 years, was with him
