Posting of Darell’s Funeral Arrangements
Hello Family, friends and all those who adored and loved the late great Darell W Morgan. Thank you once again for the tremendous outpouring of love you have shown to Darell and myself over the past few days. I have been absolutely overwhelmed and again, so very grateful & thankful for all your love and support. It has blessed my heart to no end and will be remembered until the day my soul is taken.
It has been a long, difficult last few days. I have written thousands of shows, but planning a funeral has not been my finest script.
We have run into a couple of stumbling blocks that have delayed the progress of getting Darell’s arrangements settled. We did have to switch funeral homes mid-way through because the first company wanted all the money up-front in order to proceed. We were and are not financially capable of doing that. Financially, we have been hit hard. With Darell’s health problems over the past 2 years in particular, it has taken quite a toll on our immediate family, most of all Darell. He was a tremendous fighter and was always wishing he could help more, but his body would not let him. More recently, however, he was once again, improving with new medication and his outlook on life was even better, especially the last couple of weeks. Life throws you those gifts sometimes before the final blow. We are thankful for the times and memories we are given. It is now time to have our final goodbye.
Darell’s service is now finalized. Funeral arrangements are being provided by Banks/Page/Theus Funeral Home, 410 Webster St Wildwood, Fl. His funeral service will be held at Live Oak Community Church 12070 Co Rd 103 Oxford,Fl 34484 this Tuesday, November 19, 2024. There will be a Public viewing from 11:00 - 1:00 to say your goodbyes to Darell and the service will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Proceeding the service, there will be an internment at Crum’s Cemetary, where Darell will be laid to rest. Following the internment, there will be a light lunch served back at the Church in the fellowship hall. You can go to Banks/Page/Theus website for information and to view the obituary and leave your thoughts if you like.
As many have asked and still keep asking, “What can we do to help?” If you would like to help, donations may be made to the family, in his loving memory to help with Darell’s services. Anything you feel in your heart to give would be helpful! Again, thank you for the unbelievable and overwhelming amount of love you have shown this beautiful man who has gifted us with his music all of these years but above all has opened up his heart and gave it to you, each one, in a different way. You all have your own story to tell and have told it. He truly loved his people. As “he” said “God Bless You” and God Bless Darell W Morgan. Rest in Peace my love!
