Danzil's obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. Danzil McIntosh on December 8, 2022, at the venerable age of 93 years. Born on August 5, 1929, Danzil lived a life full of commitment, service, and love for his family.

Danzil was the proud father of his beloved daughter, Kara McIntosh, and cherished grandfather of Dominico McIntosh and Skylar Pulliam. He was predeceased by his wife, Florrie McIntosh, his father, David McIntosh, his mother, Louise Clark, and his sisters, Anne Belle McIntosh and Marion Dean, and his brother David McIntosh, Jr.

Danzil graduated from a Booker T. Washington Jr., high school in Miami, Florida in 1948, Albany State college in Albany, Georgia in 1953, and the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1958 for his masters degree in engineering. His profound sense of duty and service saw him serve in the United States Army for 26 years, achieving the esteemed rank of Master Sergeant - a testament to his dedication and tenacity.

He was an active member of his community, regularly attending Central Baptist Church and various professional organizations including the National Society of Logistic Engineers, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the National Association for Uniform Services.

Fond of Caribbean Conch Salad and Blue Fish, Danzil was also a wine enthusiast, with a particular liking for Chablis. His taste in music was classical, and he held a special fondness for Beethoven and Chopin. A fan of trivia, Jeopardy was his favorite TV show. An art enthusiast, Danzil favored Renoir and Impressionism while the Miami Dolphins held a special place in his heart as his favorite sports team.

Danzil found solace in chess, showcasing his strategic mindset and love for intellectual stimulation. Gymnastics performances were his preferred choice of spectacle sports, and he enjoyed spending his leisure time listening to talk radio (Russ Limbaugh). With a deep interest in logistic engineering, Danzil was known for his pensive personality imbued with a heartening sense of humor.

Danzil's most enduring legacy will be his wonderful daughter Kara and his two beautiful grandchildren. His life was a testament to hard work, love, and commitment, his accomplishments will continue to inspire those he left behind. May his soul find eternal peace.
