As I sit with my granddaughters I think of the love you gave to then 3mo old Thea as we packed to leave. I miss your loving smile and always kind words . You would have been a wonderful father, my dear friend.

Today we attended the Church Danny introduced us to. We live in Idaho but have made it our home church when in SB. We always think of him when here and grateful we got to attend 2x with him on two different visits before he left us. Only have happy thoughts of him. He one of those people you NEVER forget. Miss you Danny

My Condolences and Prayers go out to Danny's Family. I used to watch Danny when he played Football at SBHS. Later in Life I would see, talk and sit with Danny at many sporting events in Santa Barbara. What a Wonderful and Enjoyable Person was Danny. Always so Friendly and Happy. God Bless Danny and his Family.

Danny Paulin:
I met Danny circa 1960 on my first visit to Calvary Baptist church. I was a 6th grader and didn’t know a single one of the kids my age that filled the large ground-level room in the Christian Education building. Then, I noticed this one kid at the far end of the room who left his group of friends and walked over to me, offering a smile and hand shake saying, “Hi! I’m Danny!” And with that, I somehow felt at home in that room, becoming friends through Danny with many of the others in that room over the ensuing years.
Since Danny and I never went to the same school together, our football teams always competed against each other over the years. And those experiences produced memories that fed many lengthy conversations over the years.
Most of our recent talks over the last couple years included each of our sharing of our growth experiences in the Lord, and the people (e.g., Ralph De La Vega, Rick Sizer, Calvary Baptist pastors) who had helped lead us on that path.
Our last chat was on Danny’s 74th birthday: a two-hour phone call two days before his passing. I will miss Danny and those talks, and I expect to rejoice with him again.

Seems like I’ve known Danny all my life. He was always kind, sweet, and caring to everyone he met. Am so sorry I cannot attend his service but Danny and his friends and family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love and peace, Danny.

I will say this for Tim Small and myself, Sharon Graham. Tim would come home from work and always had something funny to joke about. Many times it was about Danny. Tim worked with Danny for quite some time. He actually visited Tim on Toro Canyon. Tim passed two years ago but now I am sure they are meeting again. Good men die but there names will live on.

Danny was Danny. There will never be another like him: Friendly, persevering, understanding, compassionate, over sensitive at times, and a team player. He helped the Firefighters at every turn.
Never took off in front of me (surfing) and we had some good road trips. May you enjoy the warm waters of eternity surfing with our departed S.B.F.D. brothers and all your friends that have gone before you. J.C.

Daniel is such an amazing and unique person. I knew him when I was growing up as I was often at the Myers house with his sisters kids.He was always cheering us up and listening to our stories it seems he was always a safe confidant. And he would give us rides different places, we always felt like princesses .
