I don’t have a picture or a birthday story. What I have is a memory of a determined good hard working man. Dan was just starting out in his own, he had no work and no where to stay. I offered him my home and something to eat. The most my good friend Dan would accept was a spot in the driveway where he could stay in his car and a butter knife so he could spread the peanut butter on the loaf of bread he bought to live on. As time went on Dan started to work for the company that I was working for until he was able to get back on his feet. Then he perused his true passion as a chef. If the people in the state that I live in have half of Dan’s will, there would be no homeless.
