Danney's obituary
In Loving Memory of Danney Wayne Zook
Danney Wayne Zook, beloved father, son, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, at 1:41 p.m. due to complications from an aortic aneurysm. He was 58 years old, born on October 19, 1966.
Danney lived his life with quiet strength, quick wit, and a heart always ready to help. Whether he was fixing something with his hands, sharing a laugh, or offering support without hesitation, he left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know him.
He proudly served in the Army National Guard, carrying that same sense of duty, loyalty, and perseverance throughout his life.
In keeping with his deeply compassionate spirit, Danney chose to be an organ donor. His final act of generosity has already begun helping others, even after his passing. A private bedside ceremony was held in his honor—a quiet celebration of his life, filled with reflection, gratitude, and love.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Uhl; his father, Noel “Wayne” Zook; his sister, Amanda Zook; and his infant siblings, Katherine Zook and Anthony Zook.
He is survived by his daughters, Olivea (Patrick) Phillips and Cassandra Zook; his grandchildren, Xander, Jaydon, Lian, and Ronin; and his sister, Alissa Harsin (Jason Goodwill). He is also survived by his stepmother, Terre Zook; his stepfather, David “Larry” Uhl; five nephews, four nieces, and many other loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.
As he wished, there will be no public ceremony. Danney will be cremated privately, and his family will continue to honor him in their own meaningful ways.
Danney Wayne Zook will be deeply missed and forever remembered—not with goodbye, but with “TTFN” (ta-ta for now), in the same lighthearted spirit he brought to every day.
