Danielle's obituary

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Danielle "DEE" Ells-Nelson, known fondly as DEE by loved ones, but she preferred Danielle. Danielle first graced the world with her presence on October 6, 1968, and we bid her farewell too soon on August 29, 2023.

Danielle leaves behind a loving family that will continue to honor her legacy. She is survived by her brother, John J McCaigue Jr, and her sister, Jeannie McCaigue-Bettencourt. Each of them will hold cherished and personal memories of Danielle in their hearts.

We also remember those who preceded Danielle in her journey to eternity - her father, Robert C Ells Sr, her mother, Marjorie Ellen Symonds-Ells-McCaigue, her brother, Robert C Ells Jr, her beloved husband, Larry Nelson, and their two sons, Lawrence and John Nelson. Their memories are forever intertwined with Danielle's, creating a tapestry of love and life that we honor in her passing.

Danielle's love for life was evident in her passions. She enjoyed the simple pleasure of a good Zucchini Bread, the delightful escapism found in all types of books, and the rebellious rhythms of Alice Cooper. She was a fan of a good Netflix movie and cheered vociferously for the Boston Bruins. She occasionally enjoyed casting a line into still waters for a peaceful fishing trip.

Key West held a special place in Danielle's heart as her favorite vacation spot, while locally, she loved the vibrant atmosphere of Laconia Bike Week. Danielle also carried a love of tattoos, and she had dreams of one day visiting the iconic Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Danielle loved her family, her friends, and the joy that each new day brought. Her spirit and love for life will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
