I want to thank everyone for the nice posts. I wasn't aware of this post. It has been 4 months and I still can't believe he is gone. He was a wonderful husband. He loved my kids as if they were his. I have to say that I was in such a shock I didn't do so many things. If I didn't thank you or get to talk to you i am truly sorry. It took me this long to realize he isn't coming back. Everything is so different for me now. If not for my kids I don't know where I would be. The friends and family that helped out I can't thank you enough. I honestly don't know everything that happened. I miss him every minute of every day. I try to stop at River Ridge when I can. Danny loved working and golfing there. I would bake sometimes and drop something off at the pro shop. Jeff, Eric and Martin are always super nice to me. A big thanks to my cousins who all chipped in and offered to help out. Thanks to Danny's friends who set up celebration of life at St Patrick's, who planned the meal and paid for it at Long Shots and Who offered to put the obit in the paper and a family member who paid for the cremation.  Sorry that I didn't realize that I was to bring Danny's ashes to the church and I am truly sorry. And a big surprise from Father Tony who walked me done the isle. A big thanks to everyone there, near or far. Danny Stockwell you were the love of my  life and I miss you more than you will ever know.

Annette,

Our condolences.  Dan was a great guy-it was a pleasure working with him for at least 20 years.  Won many oil company golf tournaments as long as Dan was on our team.

I was so sorry to hear about Danny’s passing. Danny was my closest friend growing up at Elizabeth St School and Sts. Peter and Paul baseball. We spent countless hours playing whiffle ball in his back yard – he, of course, was always the Red Sox, I was the Yankees. We reconnected at our NFA 50th reunion, and rode together during the golf tournament. We spent hours reminiscing about our childhood. He talked about how fortunate he felt having grown up with the strong supporting community on the West Side in Norwich. It was clear that he was committed to living his life in a way that honored those values. But most importantly, he spoke about how happy and blessed he felt with Annette and his family. He was such a good, decent man. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
Annette we send our Love and Prayers for you and your family and we are very sorry to hear about Danny. ❤️❤️. He was very very special.

The twinkle in Danny’s eyes are a sign of the spirit he embodied. I’m so sorry for your loss, Annette and family. May your happy memories bring you comfort and peace.
Danny… there are so many stories to share from the good ole days at the Norwich Inn and now the Norwich Golf Course, and now they are memories to remember. God has taken another angel from us way too soon, but his reputation and phenomenal ability to bring out the smile in most will never be forgotten. R.I.P. Danny and may perpetual light shine upon you.
I knew Danny at NFA and hadn't seen him for decades. Over the past 4-5 years I had conversations with him at River Ridge. He was always extraverted with kindness and a pleasant smile. He always brightened my day after our conversations. From my observation, he really enjoyed life.  God Bless him!!
Annette deepest condolences to you and your family.  We lost a wonderful man who will never be forgotten.
Annette - our deepest condolences.  You and Danny made my first date with Darryl so comfortable. I am so very sorry. 💔

Danny is going to be missed by the Wednesday old guys at River Ridge. I am gonna miss seeing him in that dam white hat.
