Obituary
Dan died on February 23, 2018. Born in Lexington, KY, Dan was the youngest child of Bert Shaffer MD and Inki Shaffer MD. Dan graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1987 with honors, 32nd in his class. He served five years in the Nuclear Submarine Service as a Lieutenant. Later he provided road assistance and transportation services to grateful motorists and travelers. He married the love of his life, Sally Montgomery, in February 2006. …
