With Heavy Hearts, We Share the Passing of Danny Scott

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Daniel Edward Scott. He was discovered on January 3rd, 2025, and our hearts are heavy with this loss.

Daniel was a man of remarkable intellect, compassion, and creativity. Born and raised in New York, he was a seeker and a creator, known for his passions for conservation, collecting succulents, records, and books, and his unwavering love for animals, plants, gems, and people. He never gave up on his dreams, and in doing so, he inspired everyone around him.

He is survived by his children, Becky, Kelly, and Jason; his grandchildren, Bradley, Spencer, and Mallory; his siblings, Larry, Karen, and Ann; and his stepchildren, Andrea and Marshall, whom he loved as his own.

Daniel’s life was a testament to kindness and generosity. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Services will be held in both California and Upstate New York to honor his extraordinary life. He will be laid to rest in the family plot in New York, alongside his parents.
