Daniel's obituary
Daniel Robert Rademacher, age 53, passed away August 14, 2025 leaving behind a legacy of creativity, loyalty, and a life lived on his own terms.
Dan’s favorite pastime was smoking meat, a hobby he perfected and shared generously with friends and family, bringing people together with his signature slow-cooked meals. His smoker was the centerpiece of gatherings filled with good food, cold drinks, and great stories.
He was an avid hunter and not just for sport, but for the peace and connection it gave him. Over the years, Dan along with his friend Kevin, raised and trained multiple dogs, each one a faithful hunting companion and part of the family.
A proud U.S. Marine, Dan carried the values of service, strength, and dedication throughout his life. He had a deep love of history, which he brought to life through his remarkable talent as an artist. His hand-painted miniature soldier statues were not just works of art — they were expressions of his curiosity, skill, and respect for the past.
Dan was also a true wild card — in the best possible way. You never quite knew what he’d say or do next, but you could always count on it being memorable. His wit, stubborn charm, and mischievous streak made him the kind of person people gravitated toward and never forgot.
Dan will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know him. He was a loyal companion, a gifted artist, and a man who marched to the beat of his own drum. He lived life on his own terms, with humor, heart, and a deep loyalty to those he loved.
Dan was met in Heaven by his parents Joe and Sue Rademacher. He is survived by his wife Angie Rademacher, brother Ron Rademacher, sister-in-law Heather Rademacher, nieces Ella Rademacher and Kaylee Rademacher, son-in-law Ryan Shaw, daughter-in-law Amy Shaw, grandsons Jackson Shaw, Beau Shaw, Remington Graham, Jaxson Graham, dear friends Dale and Penni Cyphert, many friends, aunts, uncle’s and cousins.
There will be a celebration of life on September 13, 2025 from 5:00-8:00pm at the American Legion, 1000 W. Lawrence Hwy, Charlotte MI.
