Worked with Dan for a number of years at Walmart back in the 1990’s. He did his job well, in fact one of the best managers in the Chicagoland area. Well respected among other employees. Dan and I would always love catching shoplifters and holding them until Elgin police came and hauled them away.
Vast majority of these criminals were very surprised that a couple of ‘ole guys could run them down and detain them. Back then shoplifting was a CRIME not a privilege.
Anyway Dan was a great example of a work ethic, great and dear friend and I and my wife will miss him .
See you on the other side my old friend.

Didn’t know Dan other than passing and acknowledging him in halls. His sister though is my daughters mother in law whom I know. Dan and I were 66 graduates of Ridgewood. So sorry for his loss and my condolences to Trish whom I know since grade school.

Peace to Dan’s memory. I went to Ridgewood and graduated in1966 with Dan. Dan was a dear friend to the Verdoni family on Clifton. He would sit at MaMa “V”s kitchen and talk about everything under the sun. Our mom and dad thought very highly of him. His love for his daughters was so heartfelt.
And YES, Dennis he had the best car in our class. When I think about it Dan and Tony has the most fabulous cars I our class.
Great memories of Dan. I will see him again someday. Condolences to all his family. He was the best.

My sincerest condolences to Dan's Family and many many friends! Dan and I, attended Ridgewood High School together.
I remember, his Father either gave him or made the down payment, on a 1966 Mercury Comet Convertible, with a 289!! A pretty cool car.
Rest in Peace, Dan.
