Daniel Edmund Peters, Sr., 72, of New Cumberland, PA died Thursday, May 30, 2024 in UMPC Harrisburg hospital.

Born on November 24, 1950 in New Brighton, PA during "The Great Appalachian Storm of 1950," he was the son of Theodore (Ted) D. Peters, Sr., and Virginia May (Sandoe) Peters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diana Lynn Watson on December 11, 2015, three grandchildren, Virgil Harget, Maridjah Wasimin and Makayla Harget and one great-grandchild, Yeralina Mueses and two sisters-in-law, Marijka Stopples Peters (Dave) and Vicki Lynn Cook (Michael).

Daniel is survived by his children Betty May Wasimin, Virginia Peters (Lafair “Dusty” Harget III) and Daniel E. Peters, Jr., (Allison Jones), eleven grandchildren, Zelena Reese, Kristian Reese, Kayla Wasimin, Brianna Reese, Martin Wasimin, Jr., Serenity Harget, Hunter Peters, LaFair Harget, IV, Theodore Peters and Hunter Peters; seven great-grandchildren, Aliza Mueses, Luna Cheuvront, Alzono Mueses, Lilly Wasimin, Diana Mueses, Tobias Moyer, Angel Colon, Jr. And he is also survived by three brothers, Theodore D. (Dave) Peters, Jr. (Kayla) of Sun City, AZ, Thomas G. Peters (Susan) of Beaver Falls, PA, and Michael A. Peters, Sr., of Kopple, PA and one sister, Lori Lopez (Marcelino) of Laveen, AZ, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Daniel was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and he loved hunting deer in his younger years and being with his family.
