Daniel Lane Patch, 47, formally of Abingdon, IL passed away on March 26, 2021 in Leitchfield, KY.

Dan was born on November 28,1973 to Jim Patch and Connie (Missie) Nelson in Galesburg. After graduating from Abingdon High School, he went on to be an amazing son, brother, father, friend and fabricator.

Dans pride and joy are his four children; JD (Alex) Patch of New Windsor, IL, Lani (John) Patch or Abingdon, IL, Keely Patch of Abingdon, IL and Connor Patch of Abingdon, IL.

Dan didn’t know a stranger and had the ability to talk with anyone, for hours (and generally did). His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. Whether it was his mother or the Landon family, his children and even cousins, this was what was most important to him in his life. He was unendingly proud of JD, Lani, Keely & Connor and always tried his best to support them.

Dan was also passionate about Harley Davidson motorcycles and hotrods and could often be found riding, talking about or checking them out when he wasn’t at home.

Anyone who knew Dan knew that he was the most loving son, brother, father and friend a family could ask for.
Dan was preceded in death by his grandfather Hassel Cox and mother Connie (Missie) Cox.

He is survived by his ever loving pride and joys - JD (Alex) Patch and grandsons Dominick, Theodore and Jackson.
Lani (John) Patch and grandchildren Zane and Zoey. Keely Patch and Connor Patch.
Also surviving are his father Jim (Kathe) Patch, sister Amy Monroe and brother Jimmy Patch. His bonus grandmother Eleanor Landon & extended family as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cremation to be recorded.
There will be a celebration of life date/time announced soon.
