Dan Meece passed away November 26,2020 at St.Joseph Hospital, Tacoma,WA. He was born in Michigan City, Indiana, to his late parents, Roy Donald Meece and Mary Elaine Hutchins.
He graduated from Corona High School in Corona,CA where he was known as "Boone", he lettered in Varsity Wrestling. He then served in the U.S. Air Force from 1975-1984.
As we all know, his passion was the GYM! He loved health and fitness so much that he became a certified personal trainer and owned his own gym for many years. He himself competed in National Bodybuilding Competitions for many years and promoted many Bodybuilding Competitions.
Mr. Dan Meece is survived by his son, David Meece, daughter Carrie Meece (Shane) Hornsby, grandson Casey Meece, grandaughter Teagen Hornsby of Dallas, GA. Stepdaughter, Stephanie Kunz (Marc) Johnson, grandsons Logan & Paysen Johnson of Gig Harbor, WA. His sister Mary Jo (Richard) Niemiec of Michigan City, IN. His half brothers, Chris (Debbie) Meece of Perris, CA , John (Dorthea) Meece of Indio, CA and stepbrother Gary Smith of Hope, KS and many Aunt's, Uncle's, Nieces, Nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael Meece of Kansas and Donald C. Meece of Indiana.
Per his wishes he was cremated in Tacoma, WA and will be laid to rest on December 11th 2:00pm at Georgia National Cemetery of Canton, GA.
