Dan was the guy you wanted to hang out with. He was so easy going that you just enjoyed being together. Great sense of humor and somebody I will miss a lot. Aside from this, he was by far the best golf teacher I have ever been lucky enough to have help me. Having had him as a good friend was a gift.
I’m so sorry to learn of Dan’s passing and send my condolences to his family and friends. I started taking golf lessons from Dan in 2023, which continued for the next two years. I always looked forward to seeing him. Not only did he help improve my game to an acceptable level but he was a fun guy to work with. Dan is missed.
So sorry to hear about Dan’s passing. Golfed ALOT together at emporium country club. Haven’t spoke for around 40 years. Finally reconnected in april. Was looking forward to another round together in the future. Will look forward to the round in the sky! Condolences to the family.
I was shocked to hear that Dan has passed away. We were roommates when he began his PGA career at the Detroit Golf Club; I was the Second Assistant, and he was the Third Assistant. We were like the Odd Couple, as I was neat, while Dan was more disorganized. I always appreciated his sense of humor, and he had a great ability to laugh at himself.
Very sad news to hear the passing of Dan Malizia. I was one of those golf professionals under Dan’s direction at Timuquana Country Club. For the most part, I spent 6 days a week with Dan over a 6 year period. Learned a lot from him as a boss and a friend. You will be missed. Please know I’m thinking about you and your family during this difficult time.
