Daniel's obituary
He was married to Cheryl Renae Williams Mabery on June 13, 1987 at Northwest Bible Church in Dallas, Texas. On June 2, 1992, their eldest daughter, Madeline Renae Mabery was born, followed by the birth of their youngest daughter, Miranda Grace Mabery, on October 18, 1995. Family was everything to Dan, his daughters were his world. Above all, he took care of them first, and taught them, alongside his wife, to follow and trust in God through all the ups and downs of life. His faith was steadfast, and he spent much of his free time studying Scripture. He went so far as to write a systematic theology, a feat that few biblical scholars undertake. Some of his biggest inspirations were C.S Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Dante, and Beowulf. He viewed learning, classic literature, and art as treasures to be explored for a lifetime, holding creatives and authors in highest regard.
Dan’s heart and soul radiate beauty. He was an outdoor-loving cowboy, who found the greatest joy in experiencing adventures, rodeos, ranches, and camping trips with his family. His world revolved around Christ and the family with which he was blessed. Dan was preceded in death by his parents Trevor Erwin Mabery and Lucy Wood Mabery. He is survived by his wife Cheryl, daughters Madeline and Miranda, sister Janet Fulmer and brother-in-law Paul Fulmer, brother Steve Mabery and sister-in-law Caroline Mabery, as well as nieces Lauren and Catharine Fulmer and nephews Cal and Jack Mabery. He was loved dearly by each member of his family, as he shared the joy of an eternally youthful and gentle spirit.
