Daniel's obituary

Daniel Sanford Kukulski passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 30, 2023, in

Scottsdale, AZ, at the age of 64. Born in Flagstaff, AZ on October 20, 1958, he was the youngest

of four children to Albert and Patricia Kukulski.

In his younger years, Dan’s mother and father worked as educators for the Bureau of Indian

Affairs which lead him to living in many places throughout the southwest. From a young age,

Dan learned to make friends quickly and appreciate the presence of others around him. He

graduated from Cortez high school in Colorado in 1976 where he left after graduation in search

for something greater.

Eventually, Dan made it back to Arizona where he met his wife and soul mate, Debbie, dancing

away at a disco bar in Scottsdale. The two fell in love, had two children, and spent the next 42

years building a strong relationship filled with love, happiness, and respect.

Dan’s hard work never went unnoticed. He dedicated 20 years as a foreman, working at Rainbo

bakery in Phoenix. Then in 2000, an opportunity arose for him to join forces with his brother,

David Kukulski, to build and operate a promotional marketing company directed at high school

sports. For many years, Dan had the pleasure of employing several family members and

working alongside his son, Chris. Dan continued this successful venture with the help of several

employees and his wife until his death.

Dan and his wife settled into the town of Cave Creek where he was known for supporting local

businesses and his generosity in donations for many of the charities in Cave Creek. Dan made

friends wherever he went and was known for his wise guy jokes and kind heart. He was a son of

the American Legion and could often be found hanging with his friends at Post 34.

In his later years, Dan was blessed with four grandsons who brought more fun, smiles, and

laughter into his life. He enjoyed watching them play sports, explore the outdoors, and just be

young and rowdy boys.

Dan is survived by his wife, Debbie; his two children: Christopher (John) and Melissa (Josh); his

dearest grandsons: Kane, Colt, Krew, and Jace; his sister, Linda; and numerous other family

members whom he built strong, individual relationships with. Dan was proceeded in death by

his parents, Albert and Patricia and his brothers, David and Larry.

Dan was an incredible man who wanted each person he met to feel special. He truly enjoyed

making people laugh and always made himself available to help when help was needed. He will

be missed terribly but his spirit will live on forever.
