Although I never had the pleasure of meeting him, we spoke daily Monday through Friday~we always joked and hoped that we would meet one day so he could see “the biggest thorn in his side”! Lol those of us at SYSCO Pokomoke, Maryland loved him. He was bigger than life. We always knew Daniel would find a way to help. He will be so missed. He made the world a better place while he was in it. My condolences to his family 😔

Every time I spoke to Daniel he asked how I was and he would pray would me and ask me to pray for his "girl". He was brilliant and selfless. I never met him in person but had a long time work relationship that I will forever treasure. We are all better people and Sysco employees having known him and worked with him and no one can fill his shoes. He left a huge void in our hearts.

My sincere condolences to Alicia and the Kaskie Family. Daniel was more than a manager, he was an awesome leader, colleague mentor, and a friend. He cared for his team and was there when you needed him just to lend an ear. Daniel came to my rescue at my home when I had fallen ill during a workday and stayed until the ambulance took me to the hospital. No supervisor had ever showed such genuine concern as he did. He was always there for all his Sysco family. We both adored LSU and boudin balls ! Dan the Man as I would call him, was a true Angel here and will forever be with our Lord. I'll miss you big guy. Take your rest now.

I had the privilege of meeting Daniel through our Shared Business Services team, and from the very beginning, his kindness stood out. He had the warmest personality, a smile that could truly light up any room, and a warmth that made everyone feel welcomed and valued.
Daniel was a genuinely kind soul—someone whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and light wherever he went.
He was a beautiful soul and a light put out far too soon. His loss is felt deeply, and he will be remembered with great love, gratitude, and for the lasting impact he made on all of us fortunate enough to know him.

I only knew Dan for 6 years, but I quickly realized I had found a brother. We bonded over many things including our shared love of music. Losing him has left a hole in my life that will never be filled. I can t wait to see you again. Love you brother.

My heart goes out to you Alicia. Daniel and I worked together at Sysco and we all knew the love he had for you. I remember he called me after I gave Abby to you both and his love for music was definitely showing because he asked me if it was okay if he spelled it like the Beatles abbey road of course I told him I didn’t think she would mind. Grief is a place where love has no where to go, but with faith and god the hole in your heart gets smaller. My deepest sympathy and may he rest in peace until you meet again..
