Dear Linda:
So sorry to learn of your father -Dr. Dan Kaplan's passing away on February 7 and your mom Barbara last April. Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. I know that you must be devastated for this tragic event.
My wife Amy and me could not believe when we received your email massage today.
We went to visit our daughter in Miami on December 10/2025 and returned home January 20/2026. We found out your dad’s house was quiet and we didn’t see Daniel around. We wondered what was happened?
Many questions and situations come to mind。
We met Daniel and Barbara on 2018 when they moved in. They were best neighbor we could dreaming to have. They were so kind. Daniel were so sincere and gentle and Barbara were so elegant. We went to their beautiful house once and we introduced them how to drink Japanese Sake and we also sent them a set of Sake bottle and cups. Barbara liked very much.
We met Daniel many times on the hallway between our house. We chatted many times regarding his career and his life experiences. We learned a lot from him. Later on we offered to help returning his trash cans to his garage door when he had difficulty to walk. It was our pleasure and no trouble at all. He was appreciated very much and we received his thank you note and gift last Thanksgiving Day. Your father is so polite, he is a man who knows the value of gratitude.
My wife felt so heartbroken when heard your dad’s passing away. She was deeply saddened and on the verge of tears.
We met you- Linda and your husband Stewart few times around your dad’s house. He was very lucky to have you and Stewart near by.
As you mentioned he liked Frank Sinatra song-My Way. So do I. My favorite song too.
Your father enjoyed a very unique, meaningful and noble life.
We miss him very much!
