Daniel's obituary
On March 9, 2023, Daniel Anthony Gebar, loving husband, son, and brother, passed away at the age of 32. Born September 10, 1990 in Wurzburg, Bavaria, Germany to Scott Gebar and Sheila Luther, Daniel spent his childhood in both Illinois and Kansas before graduating from Abilene High School in 2009. In 2016, Daniel moved to Michigan, where he was able to share life with Nicole and create lasting relationships with a large number of loving friends.
In his teenage years, Daniel ran cross-country and enjoyed taking in the local music scene. As an adult, Daniel spent years working in a record-pressing plant before moving to Michigan, and loved telling anyone who would listen about the finer details of vinyl records. He enjoyed playing video games and experimenting with different coffee recipes. He also had a very strong relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and was heavily involved at The Woods Church. But the thing that people knew most about Daniel is that he was the most blue and red bleeding, wheat-waving, Kansas Jayhawk basketball fan you could ever meet.
Rock Chalk.
Daniel was lucky enough to have family all over the country.
Daniel is survived by his beloved wife Nicole, and his vibrant Australian Cattle Dog, Jyn.
He will be deeply missed by his Illinois family of his father, Scott, his brother Cavan Gebar and his sister Briley Gebar.
In addition, he is survived by his Kansas family of his mother, Sheila, step-father Keith Luther, his brother Tyler Gebar, his sister-in-law Kim, and his grandmother Kay Vowels. With his passing, Daniel will be reunited with his brother Garrett Provance in heaven.
He was welcomed with open arms by his Michigan family of his Parents-In-Law, Donald and Lisette Gosik, his Sister and Brother-In-Law Natalie and Matthew Stamper, and his Grandmother-In-Law Shirley Gosik.
He was also loved greatly by his closest friends, whom he considered his chosen family: Devin and Kayla Inbody, and their son Emmett, as well as Thomas and Caitlyn Galloway, their son Tatum and their daughter Paityn.
A celebration of Daniel's life will be held on Friday, March 24th at The Woods Church - 14300 E 13 Mile Road, Warren, MI at 11:00 am, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am. There will also be a memorial held in Kansas, to be announced at a later date.
