Hello, I am Deb Anderson from Upper Michigan, and a relative of your dad.  I am so sorry for your loss, it is so hard to loose a parent.   It sounds.like you have some very good memories of your dad.  I believe I met him once, and his sense of humor impressed me.   His Mom, your grandmother Norma, was a first cousin to my mom.  Her mother was a sister to my grandfather, Andrew Paul Oleson, of Wallace Michigan.  He passed in 1969, and it would have been before that, that your grandparents, plus Dan and maybe Josie would have visited him.  There is another cousin, Dennis Nelson, from Minnesota, and his grandmother was Josephine, whom Josie may have been named for?  When they lived in Peshtigo, Wisconsin, the families would visit back and forth, less so when they moved to Chicago, and of course  after the move to Caifornia, they kept in touch via letter.   I have good memories of Norma and Joe Drong.  My mother, Doris Anderson,  kept in touch with Josie  until my mother's death in 2015.  I was looking for Josie's obituary, and happened on your dad's during that search.  Again, I'm so sorry about your dad's passing away.  You have my sincere sympathy.
