Daniel (Dakota)'s obituary

It is with deepest sorrow, we announce that Daniel Joe Saunders, our most beloved son, brother, family member and friend tragically passed away on Thursday, July 16th 2020 in Los Angeles, California.

Although only 23 at the time of his death, Daniel affected many people in his lifetime.

A well-mannered and pleasant young man, with a penchant for quick humor, which put a smile on many a face. Daniel was totally committed to friendship. Loyalty to friends was always a top priority, often putting the needs of others above his own. An inspiration his peers, even in troubled times, he often undervalued the huge positive impact he had on others.

He was gentle soul, and the apple of his father’s eye, and although he faced many huge challenges, Daniel had an impeccable work ethic, with punctuality being an absolute must. Sadly, he was taken long before he realized his dreams and full potential.
Daniel was born in Johannesburg, South Africa on March 3rd, 1997, where he spent his early years, before moving to the USA in 2001, were he grew up.

He is the only beloved child of Allan and Barbara Saunders. Daniel’s Mom passed away in 2008, which deeply affected him all his life, as did the passing of his Step Mom, Susan in 2017.

Daniel will be missed everyday by his father, Allan; half-brothers, Clayton and Matthew; grandparents; David, Margret and Joyce and many other loving family members and friends.

He is on God’s hands now, and we know Daniel is now with his Mom, Barbara and Step-Mom Susan, where he will be loved in heaven, as he is here on earth.

We LOVE and MISS you so much, Son, Brother, Grandchild and Very Dear Friend. May you rest in peace. XOXO
