Daniel's obituary
Daniel Shull Carson, February 23, 1948-May 20, 2022
Dan was born in Lincoln Nebraska, February 23, 1948 and passed away on May 20, 2022 in Palm Springs California following a year-long illness. We celebrate Dan’s life as an amazing husband, wonderful father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. When sharing the news of Dan’s passing, the most common reaction from friends and neighbors has been, “he was the nicest guy you’d ever want to meet”.
Dan grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado, graduating in 1966 from Fort Collins High School. He received a degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1970 and went on to serve a tour of duty in the military. He enjoyed a career at United Airlines, later became a business owner and worked on property development projects. His last 18 years he thoroughly enjoyed retirement in Palm Springs while also traveling extensively.
At 74, Dan had a great life of adventure, travel and enjoying time with his family, especially his son and two young grandchildren. An avid Harley rider and Corvette owner, Dan lived his best life, working on his bucket list early on and fulfilling many dreams. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patti, son Christopher, grandchildren, Fiona and Jackson and his sister LuAnn. Dan will be missed by his extended family and friends.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Wilma Carson and brothers Jim and Tom.
A celebration of life is planned at a later date.
