Daniel's obituary

Daniel David Breton, lovingly known as “Dan,” passed away at home in Springfield, Massachusetts, on September 19, 2025, at the age of 36.

Dan was born on January 18, 1989, in Holyoke, Massachusetts, to Dionne Breton and Steven Breton. Raised in Western Massachusetts, Dan was known for his warm spirit, quick wit, and natural ability to make people laugh. He had a gift for humor and storytelling, and those who knew him will always remember the joy he brought into a room with a well-timed joke or a song.

Dan was a 2007 graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School and later attended Holyoke Community College, where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Psychology. A creative and expressive person, Dan found happiness in music, art, and caring for the things he loved. He enjoyed playing the ukulele and singing, often sharing music with friends and family. He also had a passion for maintaining fish tanks, cooking for others, and exploring his artistic talents.

Faith and community were important to Dan. He was involved in the church choir at Faith United Methodist Church in Chicopee, where he shared his love of music and fellowship.

Above all, Dan’s greatest joy and proudest role in life was being a father to his son, Henry. Henry was the center of Dan’s world, and he spoke of him with endless pride and love. Being Henry’s dad meant everything to him, and he cherished every moment spent together.

Dan is survived by his beloved son, Henry Breton; his mother, Dionne Breton; his brother, Tyler Ironside; and his former wife, Victoria Curto. He was predeceased by his father, Steven Breton.

Dan will be remembered for his humor, creativity, and kind heart. The laughter he shared, the music he loved, and the deep pride he felt in being Henry’s father will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
