A fond memory I have of Danny was about the night he had us chasing what he thought was a UFO!  We were stationed in Vallejo,  CA at Mare Island Navy Base and we had been out visiting friends and was now heading home when he looked up and saw these lights going around in a circle in the sky.   It was probably about 8 lights.... anyway we followed those lights to the other side of town because he said that if it's a UFO, he wanted to be taken up!!  LOL,  I didn't want to be taken (I was expecting our second child) nor did I want our daughter Leila to be taken!  When we were finally right upon it,  we were in front of a car dealership that was using a Blimp with lights moving a around it to advertise their car sale!!!  LOL 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 He just knew it was real!  Crazy moment in our life together.  Rest well Danny!

I just read this obituary while watching a football game. One of the players on the Cowboys, last name was Basham. I went to school with a Henry and Danny Basham. Danny sat in front of me in 5th grade in Mr. Hulse's class! Danny would often ask me, regarding my lunch, "What do have in there, a carpet sandwich?" Very funny, and very, very smart! He'd make me so mad, he'd get A's on assignments I could barely get a C on!

My heart hurts knowing both Danny and Henry are gone! Their Dad, Elder Basham was such a huge presence, and played some beautiful guitar at his church. Now they're all together! My condolences to the family. My name is Constance (Haynes) Clark-King. My email is ladykeyz56@gmail.com.

May God bless you all.❤

I remember going on a field trip to Sacramento with my school. When I got in the elevator at the hotel, uncle Danny was standing there. He said to me “Ruru” what are you doing here and hugged me. We talked for a few and went our separate ways. It was surprising to see him. That made my day. 🦾❤️
