Danica's obituary
Danica Dechaume, age 36, passed away on April 7, 2026. She was born on January 3, 1990, in Russellville, Kentucky.
Danica spent much of her life in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where she built a strong and independent life as a dedicated truck driver. She was known for her resilience, work ethic, and the determination she brought to everything she did. Danica had a free spirit and a love for the open road, embracing the challenges and rewards of her career with pride.
She is survived by her loving parents, David and Dorenda Brokofsky; her two sisters, Amanda DeChaume and Gracy Dechaume; and her two brothers, Tyler Brokofsky and Zackary Brokofsky. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
At her own wishes, there will be no official service for Danica. The family asks that, should you wish to honor her memory, you do so by spending meaningful time with those you love—share a meal with family, enjoy laughter with friends, take in live music on a warm evening, and give your dog an extra treat. It’s what she would have wanted. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to local animal shelters and humane societies in her honor.
