Dana's obituary
Dana Kay Keller, a devoted wife, loving mother and nana, and cherished friend passed away May 24, 2025 at the age of 61.
Dana was born on October 22, 1963 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. While Dana was young, her family traveled many places across the United States until settling down in Muncie, Indiana. For most of her life she was a homemaker, mother, and caregiver to many many children over the years. For the last 20 years, she had devoted her time in many roles with her church. She was consistently involved in the children’s ministry and serving in many capacities. She was also involved with the lamplighter organization. One of her fondest and proudest moments was the mission trip she took to Haiti, where she was able to shower multiple families with her love of God. She was always known for her love of Jesus by the way she served and loved others. She was known to be loving, friendly, and always having fun or being silly. She loved her people and most importantly loved her family.
Dana was married to the absolute love of her life, Michael, on July 19, 2006. She loved the life they had built together, and especially loved the trips and fun they shared. She loved the beach and was always so happy each time they traveled to a new one. He treated her like she was the best thing in the world, and she was always bragging about how well he loved her. Family was always so important in Dana’s life, especially her grandchildren. Dana was so blessed being the nana to 6 wonderful grandchildren, Dylan, Daidrick, Kolten, Timothy , Skigh, and Keygan . Her life revolved around them, she was devoted to showing up to their school functions, sports and various activities they were involved in. She also made sure they had everything they wanted, took them to the movies, out to eat, go-karting, fairs, and vacations. She was truly an amazing nana.
Dana is survived by her husband, Michael Keller; 2 sisters Kristin Rogers and Jeanine Hurtt; 3 daughters Nicole Hardesty, Ashley Serna(Cynthia), and Cassie McClure; 2 step-sons Alex Keller (Brittany) and Jason Keller; 6 grandchildren, Dylan McClure, Daidrick Retz, Kolten Buck, Timothy McClure, Skigh Keller and Keygan McClure; and her best friend Leslie Gray
A celebration of life is being planned to honor Dana
2 Timothy 4:7 states, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." As we mourn for her here on Earth, we also know that she is rejoicing in Heaven and we will see her again.
