Background
On Monday, October 5th, Dana Johnson passed away suddenly. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend.
Dana was a doting mother to Kassidy, Brooklyn, and Connor, and loved her two stepchildren, Laylah and Kinley, as her own. There was no doubt that Dana considered motherhood her highest calling and that her children loved her dearly.
Dana was known as soft spoken and kind, hilarious and fun. She lit up the room she walked in with her smile and positivity. The world will remain a little dimmer without her here with us.
With all of the emotional pain and stress that a death brings, it also brings financial burdens. We are trying to raise money for Dana's children to help with any costs that will incur and to help wherever needed. As a community, we want to ease any stress on the family caused by outstanding costs of the funeral and the lives her children might lead afterwards.
For transparency and clarification, all funds will be managed by Dana's sister, Jamee. Initially, funds will be taken to build a physical memorial that Dana's children and all of her friends may visit. The remainder will be split into three separate trust funds for Kassidy, Brooklyn, and Connor.
Furthermore, another memorial fund has been started by a close family friend (Dawn Clapp) via GoFundMe, which will be managed and distributed in the same manner.
We appreciate everyone's kindness in these already trying times, and we all know that the best legacy we can leave for Dana is to care for her babies. Contribute
