Dora and the Girls I am praying for you at this trying time. Daddy Loved the Lord, he was always asking if we were ready for Heaven, he is home in his Saviours hands.

He loved to be identified as a SEGOGA. He pushed us the GOGA  team to be the best we could be. We shall miss him!! May his soul rest in Peace .

We bless the Lord for our dear Dr Daniel Nelson Semambo as he has gone to sing in a much bigger ensemble with all the angels to worship without ceasing. I first met Dan while in my mom’s womb. My father (the late professor G.S.Z Ssenyonga) was away for further studies and Dr Dan offered to constantly look in on my mom and siblings to make sure we were well. I always had a connection to this man and I felt drawn to him. He often came home on his big motorbike wearing a safety helmet and gloves. There was something unique about this man. Was it his love for Jesus? He often put others before him, always had an encouraging word to give.

When our father died I was totally lost and nearly fell off the wagon but Dr Dan Semambo stood in the gap and picked me up encouraged me. His love for music was infectious you just had to sing, along with him. We often sang together with the Joint Heirs composing songs and recording them. What a mentor Dr Semambo has been to many.

How can I ever forget his wedding to aunt Dora? He sang with the Joint heirs so beautifully a memory that left a deep impression on my mind. As a young man I aspired to walk in his shoes. His love and dedication to his family was always evident. He often rushed back home from our choir practices to spend time with his girls.

Now that you are gone dear Dan, may all those who come behind you find you faithful, may the fire of your devotion light our way. May the footprints that you have left lead us to believe. May the life you have lived inspire us to obey and follow Christ always. Thank you for everything you have been to us. Thank you for showing us the way. Fare thee well old friend now rest in peace.
