Deeply saddened by the death of Dr Dan! Yet I join the family and brethren in celebrating a life well lived!  My interaction with Dr Dan was mostly at Gayaza High School where I taught especially Ruth and Deborah. His dedication, commitment and service to the GHS community was total! His love sure! His smile and laughter very infectious! My sincere condolences to the family 🙏

I was with Dan in Nkrumah hall at Makerere University in the early 1980s. I remember that he came to the saving knowledge of our God at the time. Our loss is heaven's gain. Sincere condolences to you Dora and your daughters.

Psalms 116:15 NIV: Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.

DEATH, BE NOT PROUD (Holy Sonnet 10)

John Donne - 1572-1631

Death, be not proud, though some have called thee

Mighty and dreadful, for thou are not so;

For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow

Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.

From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,

Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow,

And soonest our best men with thee do go,

Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery.

Thou'art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,

And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,

And poppy'or charms can make us sleep as well

And better than thy stroke; why swell'st thou then?

One short sleep past, we wake eternally,

And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.

In honour of Dr. Semambo

Dr. Dan Semambo.... what a life passionately lived..... walking passion especially as he related with his children......very unbelievable🤔.......every thought of him since days hitherto brings forth images his beautiful princesses..... speechlessness😷 O Lord, what pain! Hope is what we cling to.....and pray upon his dear family..... his dedication to the GHS farm gave new life.......the milk parlour says it all........Indeed, death will one day die and the sleeping saints shall arise once again.....like a mighty army meeting their Maker and singing forever more......that is our hope in the Lord🙏🏾. More strength and exceeding peace to you dear mum, Ruth, Deborah, Kirokwa, Tabitha, Esther and Precious....now and always. In Jesus' name🙏🏾

Dan you were not a boss rather a friend, a dad and brother . I know you fought corruption with all the might and unutilized money after an exercise u banked it on government account what a man

You always told me that "let us work as if we are going to die tomorrow" one day we plaughed land on light and we got results.

Dan you were a good samaritan l recall a girl who got saved and her family abandoned her for accepting christ Dan l went with you and you got her a position at Kings college Buddo and she excelled in science and you have fathered many of us and we are soooooo many.

Dan you taught me that things of this world are all vanity be upright it is not all about money  but your relationship with God

You know Dan mukwanogwange ate Taata wange l promised u l will never change and  l thank God for opportunity for me to be with you untill the end.

Dear Dora, I was so saddened to hear about Dan's passing. Even though I have known you for years, I only got to meet and talk to Dan once due to my not living in Uganda. But I will never forget that evening of fellowship we spent together.  I was greatly impacted by his love for God, you and the girls and our country Uganda in that order. But with every topic,  he was passionate, sincere,  humble, loving. Banage what a great loss  we have suffered by his passing , even though we know Heaven has truly gained an angel. My prayers for God to comfort you during this very trying time. Katonda abagumye. It is well with our God.
