Dear Dora and the girls
Words are not enough to express mine and my family's words of condolence and prayers for support to you all at this difficult time. We stand with you at this time and pray that the Almighty Lord our God will comfort you all.
I cannot even remember when I first met Dan (probably at Makerere when i was a first year law student...he was there already) but he was always there by my side. I had the added advantage of knowing some of his wider family and that of Dora's as well. But it must have been his powerful gift of singing that mesmerised me. I recall the joy of being part of his wedding and I also recall how he Blessed mine.
He supported my Charity work and helped raise funds for the renovation of Ward 3A at Mulago Hospital.
I will miss those spontaneous telephone calls to find out how I was doing. I will miss his advice on farming. I will miss his spiritual support. Simply put I will miss him.
I thank God for the opportunity to meet him this side of eternity. Until we meet again God grant you eternal rest in a place much better than than this.

Uncle Dan found us at the petrol station coming from our honeymoon and kind of stranded.
He didnt wait to hear the story, he just bundled my husband and I in his car and brought us to Kampala.
I was one of those many daughters auntie Dora spoke about today. The memories are many and all precious!

I first met Daniel in MUK, and later, several times in market areas. We,also met at a super market, at around the same time on Entebbe road, and in Entebbe town etc. He always asked about the welfare of my brothers, and we would compare notes about how to care for our mothers. Daniel always inquired about me getting Saved, and I would always tell him I am a Catholic, already saved.
Daniel was a senior persona in our society, and you could relate to him so easily. He was down to earth, and was a very rare genuine, decent Mulokole with integrity. His character and personality has never changed since I met him in Makerere University.
It's a serious loss not only to his immediate family but to the Nation. We need such people to reform the morals in our society. I will dedicate Holy Mass and prayers for Daniels soul, and to his wife, children , Claire, Mary during this period.
Let us celebrate the life of a true Christian. May his Soul rest in Eternal Peace

I am still saddened by the news of Dan's passing. But I am comforted by the fact that glory has a precious gem in the names of Dan Semambo. I pray that the Lord will keep me walking steadfast with Him just as Dan did until I join him in glory - soon or later.

I knew Dan while a member of EPC Entebbe Church then 20 years ago. Indeed he can't just be wished away. He was an amiable character with a great love for Music. God comfort the family and friends and may HSRIP
