Dan's obituary
Dan Grove, aged 47, of Quitman, TX, passed away on June 18, 2024. Dan was born on November 8, 1976, in Bakersfield, California, to Richard and Sandy Grove. After graduating from Foothill High School in 1995, he worked a couple of jobs but ultimately graduated from STC Correctional Academy. He then landed a job as a Correctional Officer for Taft Prison, beginning a 15-year career during which he made many lifelong friends.
In 2002, he met Christiana, and they got married in 2007. They went on to have three children, Ashlyn, Adalise, and Landyn, who were the light of his life. After moving to Texas in 2017, Dan spent his time doing the things he loved most: attending his children’s sporting events, talking on the phone with friends and family, target practice, painting, creating school projects, and making decorations for the home.
Dan is predeceased by his mom and dad, Sandy and Richard Grove. He is survived by his wife Christiana, his children Ashlyn, Adalise, and Landyn, and his brother Dennis and his family.
Services will be held at First Baptist Church Quitman on July 6th at noon.
